Christmas

New raised beds

This fall we put in new raised beds to boost our growing potential for the upcoming season. With so few frost free days, our veggies need all the help they can get. The girls had a great time getting grubby and finding worms to add to the new soil.

Hohnholt humus happiness~that's alliteration

Adding the peat

What it looks like today~buried! The hoops from our previous bed are visible. Note Chris's skis, Olivia's Christmas tree fort and the snowy table.

Olivia's 8th birthday

OK, so I am a poor blogger. I could give you excuses, and whine about my non-Apple computer, but the bottom line is: I am a poor blogger. However, I will attempt to catch up and redeem myself to my esteemed family members who may be yearning for a taste of the Hohnholt's.
We had Olivia's birthday at the same pool where she had her 5 year birthday party. She chose the menu: Broccoli cheese soup, Chinese chicken soup, granola-yogurt sundaes and lots of pretty cupcakes.

Daddy and Olivia playing water dodgeball. Dodgeball in our family is a semi-religious process. Chris adores it!

Clockwise from Olivia: Jake Sullivan, bus friend Derrin, Nora Sullivan, and Geneva Archer.
